BookPros Return/Replace/Refund Policy
We want you to enjoy every purchase you make from us and our authors. And in order to help ensure the best possible quality, we encourage you to buy BookPros-published books either directly from us or from the authors. This way, we can help you most if there is a rare occasion when you receive an order that is missing something or that has been damaged.
Unfortunately, if you purchase one of our titles through a third party retailer, we are not able to track the order and figure out what went wrong. When you buy from us and our authors, however, we can stand behind the quality of the product you buy. If you purchased a book through another retailer, we suggest checking into their return and refund policies if there was a problem.
I ordered a book from your site and it never came. Will you replace it? Yes! If a book doesn’t arrive on time, please let us know so we can track the order and see what went wrong. And we will either follow up with additional information about when your order will arrive, or we will submit another order, free of charge.
I changed my mind after I completed my order, or I realized I made a mistake. What can I do? No problem. Please email us right away and let us know what you want changed. We’ll adjust it before sending the print order on to our fulfillment center. We ask that you let us know within 6 to 8 hours at the most from when you completed your order to let us know so we can change it before it’s already being printed since we employ print-on-demand technology for our fulfillment. And do include any confirmation email you received from us about your order.
The book I received was damaged or the printing is off (faded, missing a page, etc). Will you replace it? Absolutely. As long as you let us know within 14 days of when you completed the order through us, we will either refund your cost or send you another one on us. In order to have a replacement come at no charge, please include photos of any damage or fading in your request for a replacement.
I bought a book from the author at a speaking event or book signing and something is wrong with it. What can I do? First of all, please let the author know if they provide their contact information on their Author Page. And please let us know as well. Your first recourse would be to ask the author for a replacement copy if it was damaged during their transit. However, if it’s a printing error, we’ll take care of that at no cost to you.
I read a book and didn’t like it. Will you give me my money back? Though we wish we could offer returns based on personal taste, we can’t and keep our doors open. We recommend always reading a little bit about the author and the book before making your purchase. Even download a sample chapter from the Book Page if you haven’t already. And if the author hasn’t provided a sample and you’d like one, let them know! We we encourage them to as well.
I found a typo and want my money back. We take pride in our editorial team, which works with some of the biggest publishing houses in the world, as well as with us. On occasion, however, a typo slips through. And while we can’t offer refunds because of a misspelled word here or an errant apostrophe there, we will offer you site credit if the writing quality in the book was so mechanically poor that it kept you from enjoying it. Please make sure to let us know some details about your concerns to so we can do our best to fix them in the future.
We take your privacy very seriously, which is why we will never share or sell your information with any other party outside of BookPros with your explicit permission.
The only exception is when you make a purchase using our site. We use a secure third-party payment processing service called Braintree which guarantees the privacy and security of your personal information. We at BookPros never see or store your credit card or banking information.
If, for any reason, you feel your security has been compromised, please notify us immediately. We will contact the payment processor to look into the problem.
We also keep your personal information that you share with us private (stored in an encrypted cloud server hosted by Heroku/AWS) unless you give us permission otherwise. If you believe our site has been hacked, or if you notice any suspicious communications claiming to be from us, always check with us first.
WE WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION BY EMAIL. We recommend as a matter of policy never to disclose such information in any way other than in person, by phone or directly through our secured website.
